Give some more info. Like how are you recording, and by slide show do you mean something like Powerpoint or more like web based html?

For a PC it is easy so for a mac it should be even easier:D

Nothing too high tech, I took a small recorder to the races last year and got the sounds as they were coming down the straight. had planned to use the mac iphoto program

1. Get an OS X audio recording program from www.versiontracker.com: Sound Studio is good, also look for Audio In.

2. Connect your recorder to the Mac line in (you may need to acquire a suitable cable)

3. Record & edit using your audio app and save as AIFF, WAV or MP3 files as desired

4. The simplest way to get iPhoto to use your sounds is if they're in your iTunes collection, so drag your files into iTunes.

5. You can now select the sound files in the Slideshow settings in iPhoto

Hi
I checked out versiontracker and sound studio which seem familiar, my grandson is doing a video and film course at tech mentioned this program to me a while back. I might see what he can lend me

thank-you to the two who took the time to answer my query.
Cheers Ed

Simplest is to get a jack plug connector from your player and plug it into your audio in on the Mac. From then on the MAC should be able to play back and therefore record.

Once you have a file in your machine you can insert it to a slide shoz program following the menus.
