Soundbomb mini - how loud?

I picked up a SH soundbomb mini from here some months ago,

TOday i finaly got round to fitting it, and after buying the correct adapater lead ( how much!!)

Not overly impressed, is that really 2x louder than stock??

Ok its lower and more rich in tone but really 2x louder , the stock items isnt far of what it sounds like,

Which asks the question, what should it sound like?

And fitment, i put it where the original item was , but its very open to the elements, i dont think it will be long before it fills with water and other

shit.

Where have you fitted yours, or have you angled it down & out of the way ??

Twice as loud is only 3db.

I have fitted one and placed it under the beak....very disappointed with it.....no louder than a rats fart (fact) so will be changing....complete waste of money IMO....there is another thread on here somewhere saying the same thing. I posted a poor product review on Nippy Normans.....but guess what, they didn’t add it.

It is actually so loud, the crow in the road looked at my mate who has it, wondering what he wanted..............

The Soundbomb Compact (non Mini) is very loud and would be worth the upgrade.

The Soundbomb Split is fiddly to fit, needing two separate mountings in a confined space - I sent mine back and got a Soundbomb Compact and the bracket.

That's the one I fitted, was much louder.

Wouldn't bother again though.

I fitted a Soundbomb Mini last week and it is great - definitely louder than the OEM and a better tone. Different batch perhaps...

I also fitted a soundbomb mini a few years back. It is great. Louder than stock and deeper tone. Also not so loud as to be aggressive. Easy to fit to original mount and wiring. Would make same choice again

fwiw i soldered two spade connectors onto wiring having cut off bmw connector. Fitted same model horn to another bike I have but i found that one to be disappointing. been meaning to try to work out if there is a difference in the horns or the wiring causing the big disparity in loudness of the two

I fitted a pair of Fiamms under the beak of my 1200GS and they are far louder than a Soundbomb.

Not as expensive either at only £15 plus postage.

Terrific value for money.
