Just bought a ratty SP370. Starts and runs well.

Needs rewiring and a seat, anybody know who still stocks spares for these things?

Forks need rechroming, any recommendations please.

Cheers

Robinsons Foundry, Crooks, Govnors bridge or go to the Classic Mechanics Show at Stafford next weekend, last year someone had new tanks, panels for them for sale.

For the forks AM Phillpot of Fitforx

Just wait until it gets cold, 6v electrics, kick start.

For my sins I bought a GN400 in 1982.

I bought one new about 1979/80 Reg GTA951V.Good bike but output shaft broke when 7mth old and kick start mechanism had already been replaced by then.Pulled like a train but brakes not too clever.Cam chains can be a problem. To be honest,I wouldn't spend much of anything on it.Money or time, though I don't know if they are colletable or not.Just my 2p worth.

Here is a website that has some useful links on it.

http://suzuki-thumpers.com

Cycle parts are a nightmare, rear mudguards go for over £100 these days.

E bay can be useful but some items make silly money (Some Yanks especially think we are stupid - check out second hand steering head bearings!)

Stafford show may well throw up some interesting stuff.

I have two and a half of these bikes and think they are great, up until now I have been alone!

Stick with it and enjoy some back to basics green laning.

Don't listen to anyone who says that mine broke down after just 3 lanes, it was a faulty HT lead! Been fixed for over 2000 miles since.:beerjug:
