sp3 can't save and transfer routes,waypoints

i've set up a whole load of waypoints and routes on the pc in mapsource.

save them all as a new map- close and re-open just to make sure.

send to card via usb card holder

says it transfers - but seems too quick to me.

sure enough - card back in unit and it doesn't show them - they haven't transferred.

what am i doing wrong

( i've previously done all this before sucessfully )

I'm sat here doing exactly the same thing!

But if I connect the SP3 to the PC, waypoints and routes upload ok. Maps work via the USB card programmer.

Must be something in the latest beta

Maps are saved to the memory card. Routes and waypoints are saved to the Streetpilot via the serial cable.

so why does it have tickboxes for routes and waypoints after you've selected usb card programmer ? ?

Because MapSource works with all different devices, not only the SP3. When you have the USB-programmer connected MapSource don't know that you later will use the card in a SP3.

IIRC you can download maps via the serial lead, just need to have an external power source conected to the SP3 if your downloading more than a couple of map areas IE it's bl00dy slow.
