SP3 card not accessible

BMW Navigator in otherwise perfect nick, and not really used that much. turn it on and just get the card not accessible message, leaving me with just the basemap. Is it fixable?
Tried resetting it, but doesnt seem to work. Have searched this section and found one post saying that it may be a faulty card reader in the unit costing £116 to fix...

Any other suggestions?

May well land up selling it if anyone is interested.

nope. Have tried two cards. Both the same.

Out of curiosity, have either of those 2 cards worked on that unit before?

So what happened L? Did you get it to read, and were you able to transfer maps to this data card?
I'm in the same boat. SPIII. New to me 128mb data card, bought of member of site, and it won't upload to card from pc. Never had a problem with my other 128mb card.
So, how did you get on, or did you decide it was just a faulty card and get a new one?
