Having been unable to my pillion that Morocco was the place to go in the first 2 weeks of October, I am now looking at probably a trip to Southern Spain. ( I could ditch the pillion, but I may not have a home to come back to if I do). An alternative would be the S. Of France, though I'm not too sure on the weather in early October.

Will be looking at taking in Salamanca, Seville, Cordoba etc, dunno which way to head back yet. Maybe something along the line of the world of BMW spain trip.

Hopefully wil get the ferry to Bilboa or Santander which will leave about 10 days in Spain. Done the Picos & Pyrenees before so not too worried about revisting them.

Any ideas? Mapsource routes would also be appreciated if anyone would like to share a good route.

Cheers Baz

Baz,

Did something similar in March/April.

Salamanca, Merida, Seville, Cordoba, Alicante, Valencia.

Many of the best roads of a few years ago have been ploughed under new (EU money) roads.

If you get the chance, head due East of Cordoba towards Murcia, spend some time in the Parque National Cazorla. I was pointed that way by some locals in Cordoba and told that it was virtually undiscovered by tourists. They were right. Fantastic roads, even better scenery.

I pressed on to the Med. coast and then to the Pyrenees from there but you could strike North back for Santander easily if time is short.

Morroco could be on

I have now almost convinced her that Morocco is a good idea. Does anyone have a route ( Mapsource) around the north of Morroco, which takes i a few of teh sites but is not too taxing for a pillion. will have about 7 days may be able to push to 9.
