You have enough time to do the Pyrenees from both sides but whatever you do pick up the N260 from Jaca and follow it all the way to Andorra, to be honest it's all good either side, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Also a useful thread for the OP HERE

I'm heading down to Bilboa in Sept and have 7 days in the area, route planned so far will be:
Overnight in Pamplona, (maybe stay a second)
Couple of days over to the Med via the D918 & 618
Couple of nights in Cadaques.
Couple of days back to Bilboa via the N260

Be flexible if heading to the Pyrenees as the D918/618 could be a pain if the weather closes in.

Vielha is worth a stop (the Parador is very nice indeed for an overnight). The hairpins coming over from Andorra to Vielha on the C28 are really spectacular fun as you go up the road past La Bonaiga. The road over to Bagniers de Luchon (D618A) is narrow, steep, very twisty, and awesome fun as well. You can then make a day of it by striking towards the Col de Tourmalet, which is well worth a visit (in good weather).

As with others, the N260 and others around the Ainsa area, we were there last year, Hotel Dos Rios was excellent and recommended by others on this site.

If you want a morning off from bikes, visit Compo just up the 260 from Ainsa and do this...............................................

I was there in Spetember a few years ago and the weather certainly closed in. Not to the point of freezing, but very chilly and unbelievably thick fog. The scariest ride of my life, bar none, was coming down the pass that has the cyclist sculpture at the top - Col d'Aubisque, perhaps? - in unbelievably dense cloud. It had been high 20's going up one side, low single digits coming down the other. Given the choice, I'd have ridden back down and found another way.

And earlier in the day we had a similar occurence going up a pass in really hot sunshine, through a tunnel, and emerged to see the ground coated with hailstones.
