Anyone ever ridden the area to the west of the Picos, between Leon and the coast?

On google mapping etc it looks just as rocky and mountainous as the Picos, very remote villages, lots of open space and in the photos on mapping it looks lovely.

Anyone been trailing riding or have any knowledge of the area?

Tim, it's difficult for some adventure riders.....

Stay out of the NPs and no problem, unless there is a 'no vehicle' type red/white sign or a locked barrier across it.

Thats very true.

Plan is to do Picos and then Western Pyrenees, but I reckon that area to the west looks good .... and its 70 miles away from Picos base rather than 300. Less time on the road, more time exploring the trails and just two bases for the 9 nights.
