Does anybody know where the spare bmw plug is on the 1300gs?

Nippy Norman sell a connector and list the R1300GS as a bike that has a spare socket.

I’ve tried looking around bike and internet but can’t find location.

It’s not spare if you have the Nav prep. It’s under the front radar cover behind the windscreen.

It’s also far cheaper from Motorworks or a BMW car dealer

Are you looking for an actual connection to the CAN-bus or are you misusing the term and looking for a switched power connection?
I’m misusing the term. I’m looking for a switched power connection to plug in

Nippy Normans lead for connecting any Garmin, TomTom or Thork DMD-T86 gps into the BMW harness

NN is 10p cheaper than motorworks
Part number:-

Apologies. My comment was based on the original (yellow leads) part he sells for £20. Didn’t realise he was now selling a different version for £12

The radar cover is easy to remove once the screen is off.

There’s two screws at the top (they go through the GPS mount bar). Then at the bottom it’s held in by clips. Just put your fingers under the bottom and pull away from the bike and it will pop off.

Be careful not to pull too hard, as when it lets go you may smack the cover into the windscreen mounting arms. You need to be firm but careful.

At the top of the cover you will see a slight recess that allows you to route the cable outside of the cover without it getting trapped when you screw it back in place.
