Spark Plug Spanner

I'm after a spark-plug spanner for my DRZ400E ( no tool kit with the bike )

Is this needed or will a standard ( size? ) plug socket reach in there?

Hi Kenny,
There are a few so called standard sizes, and on my bikes they are all different!

I bought a socket in to do my drz, but off hand can't remember the size.

Will check and come back to you.

Assuming yours has an NGK CR8E plug in it, it needs a 16mm socket.

I bought a 3/8" drive one to carry with me - socket was cheaper than that tool in your link.

If its the same as the DR350, I used a box spanner as my socket wrench wouldn't fit.

A learned member is posting me one today to see if it fits etc. TBH, never had the tank off ( to busy sorting other matters out ) so when that arrives, I'll take the tank off and go from there
