Hi does anyperson know the correct item,the choice is part number 71117676887(sw16)or 71112303416(sw22/18),as both are listed in the parts overview and the dealer is unable to confirm which is required.

IIRC it's the cheaper one you need. And only one plug spanner is needed

Go to Halfords and in their tool section (specialist Area) you will find some "Lazer" long 3/8 sparkplug sockets.
These are a lot better than BMW, they are about £9.99, and about 6in long.
