Good dealer in my opinon. A small business that does look after its customers. I know they can be quite busy sometimes but worth the wait.

My only complaint is the parts desk. It was so much better when Myles was doing it (he had basic manners).

I used to slag them off but,
i'm affraid after a few dealings with them recently including
a rather respectable part ex price against a HP2,

I've changed my mind :thumb

You thinking of getting shot of the blade :sleep

Never had a problem, Parts always good, and offer to post for free, although I tend to drop in and collect, always a friendly welcome from all and servicing seemed to be OK when I used them, Warranty gone so use Steptoe now.
Coffee machine is good and free. Does appear that a lot of the 2nd hand bikes are brought in from Europe and re-clocked, but always offer the original docs to prove miles etc, something to do with demand and supply.. :thumb

would not touch them with a 10 foot barge pole

if they were the last BMW dealer in the country. I would buy another guzzi or ktm.. nick :spitfire

Even compared to Cooper-Reading? Or have you not had the great times to be had in their hands? ;)

I'll give my opinion next week after my bike has had its first service there - been using Battersea up till now and as I'm not working in London at the minute, SPC is the closest BMW servicing center to me.... Well closest if you ignore Cooper-Reading, which is what I do given _every_ experience I've had with them.

Brought my R1150GS ADV SE just before Xmas.
I only went in for a look and they had the perfect bike for me :) .
Slapped down a deposit to secure it, went out for a test ride on an ADV a week later to make sure it was what I wanted. Their finance deal was pretty good considering it will only cost me about £250 in interest a year (4 years total).

My only gripe was they seemed a bit pushy when it came to the insurance :( , telling me to take up a quote I had in the shop so they could sort the rest of the paper work out. Also the govener seemed to think that I was taking the bike away on the test ride day (20th Dec), although I did mention previuosly I wasn't getting paid till Dec 23rd and wanted to get Xmas out the way cash wise.

Apart from that I was happy the way the deal went, it was simple, painless just like the last deal I done on a new bike (Abingdon MC when Steve King ran it). The day of delivery went OK, Faxed insurance over cause Carol Nash messed up, thought that would delay things by a few hours yet 11:15am bike turns up in van as promised, best handover ever on a new bike also :thumb .

If I have to choose Coopers or SPC then I'll stick with SPC. Totally ignored twice in Coopers over the period of 3 years :nenau (only been in twice), once on a NTV650 (courier days) and again on a CBR1100.

SPC not bad in my opinion, but then I am a newbie.

I used to live 100 yds away on the other side of the road - when they were in Aldershite.

bought my 1100 from them in current premises.

Haven't been in for a while :D

Got my 1150GS from SPC in October last year (05), on a whole a good experience, but and this is my own opinion, i thought one of the salesmen was a complete :tosser - however the chap i ended up dealing with was very helpful, got a few things sorted out for me, and appeared to be an all round good egg, and i wont be mentioning names

Would i use them again, No, purely because CW in Dorchester is alot closer to me, and at the time i was looking for a GS, SPC had plenty in their showroom whereas CW had none

I think they are good guys, they have good stock and the service guys know what they are about.

Free coffee, sport on the TV whilst you wait, there's a lot of other dealerships that could learn a thing or two from them IMHO

Apart from sales manager who has failed to even acknowledge my presence in 18 months, I find the crew at SPC very helpful.

The new kid at the service desk needs time to 'bed in' and may even be very helpful by the time he needs to shave.

parts is always helpful, although can seem a bit distracted. the service desk is always helpful and polite.

the workshop manager chappy, is unfailingly helpful and informative, and the other workshop guys are always friendly.

I've been very happy with the standards if servicing - although they did try to charge me for an air filter when my bike has a K&N fitted.

And the coffee machine is excellent!
