Speed camera data downloads?

Bloody typical, I've bought the latest 2820 from Garmin, and when I log onto their site to download the speed camera database, they don't do it for the 2820 model .

I rang their tech number to make sure, and they confirmed that it's not possible. I asked if there were any alternatives and he advised me that I would be able to get the download from pocketgpsworld.com - I went on there only to find that it was some sort of help software for kids type handheld games..!

Anyone on here know how I can get the database into my 2820?
All serious offers of help much appreciated. All p**s taking will be smiled at.

I used pocketgpsworld as well. I thought they weren't too bad but they do warn about a lot of locations where cameras aren't present such as completed road works and mobile camera locations. This didn't bother me too much as on more than one occasion there were actually camera vans present on the mobile location when I went past.

You do need to regularly update the camera POI database from their site for best results. To try it out I bought a 1 month subscription in October 06 for £ 2.00 ( if my memory serves me right ) so it's a bit out of date now. I did think it quite worthwhile though - always knew where the cameras were ( but be advised it does show a lot that aren't necessary there all the time so you're never quite sure if a camera is actually present ). I made sure I was doing the correct speed just in case...

I've been using pocketgps world on my 2820 for some time now. I update about every 3 months, which at £2 a go isn't too costly. Agreed that it's annoying having the beeps going off when there isn't any camera there at the moment, but I'd rather have too many warnings than not enough.
