Could someone please be kind enough to tell me what speed settings are in the Zumo 550 for it to calculate the arrival times when you set a route? Can you change these speeds? I can see where they are set in Mapsource but not the zumo and when I create routes in Mapsource and then download them the travelling times are different. Thanks a lot. Mrs Spotless
I'll guess the Zumo is similar to the 2820 as they're similar age, in which case the GPS learns the speeds you achieve on the road classifications in the unit. So, if you like doing or only ever achieve 40 mph on motorways, it'll learn that as your speed, instead of the 67 mph
On the 2820 though it'll use the 67 mph until the GPS has to recalculate the route (if it's one that was planned and downloaded from Mapsource) and then it'll use the 40 mph, which causes the arrival time to change. This sound usefull?
Extra info:
1/ I don't know how to see the "learnt times in the 2820 BTW.
2/ There is a lot of changes to the road speed attributes in CN 2008 NT compared to CN v9 NT. About 1 hour for a 5 hour trip around the Yorkshire Dales.
