speedo bulbs change

1100GS: just had the bulbs go on the speedo can't see a thing. Can anyone just outline how i get to the bulbs to change them? I am sure it's all fairly straight forward but I am new to this bike and manual less at the moment. Many thanks

when i thought the low fuel bulb had gone on my 1150, i was told on another thread to remove the windshield and the top cover, but i think on the 1100 you have to remove the headlight, you can then access the bulbs in the instrument display

Hope the helps, one thing to remember - i am mechanically inept !!!!

non of the new bulbs work?

Thanks for the advice very good...but.. took the whole lot out as descibed took out the old bulbs (which I discovered where non standard bluish ones)

Anyway, checked i had been given the right bulbs, by part number. Yes they are but they NO WORK. Checked with one of the old bluish ones, which was still working, to see if it was a fuse but that worked fine. Also the filiment seems intact.

Am I missing something here or could i ineed be in possession of 4 bad bulbs?

any help greatly appreciated

Well - If you have tested the Fuse and the bulbs, and they seem to be fine, the only other thing is check the wires for any damage and for continuity - othrer than that i'm at a loss - sorry
