Speedo & Tacho died, any ideas??

Any one out there had this kind of problem?

I've just replaced the battery on my 2000 Dakar, when I started up (it starts runs and all the lights work fine) my Tacho, Speedo, Mileometer and clock are all dead.

I've done nothing yet, haven't even checked the fuses ( it's cold outside!!)

Just thought someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

prob fuse happened to me a while back when i took battery off to charge it

Just checked fuses and they are all fine.

mmmmmmmm.........time to dig the wiring diagram out.

Sorted thanks.

After an hour pulling off panels and windscreens checking connections, all of which where fine, I disconnected the battery earth and reconnected it - 'Hey Presto' instruments all came back to life. Strange!
