Hi all,
I have just upgraded to a new laptop running Vista. I have transferred all my Garmin files for using my SP3 with version 7 mapsource but when I try to set it up i get the error message "this is not a 32 bit program" (that's not word perfect) and can't be used. Has anybody else had something like this? :nenau
thanks chaps

I think you'll find that 7 is the version of the mapping you have, Mapsource is the program that effectively hosts the Garmin mapping products you have on your PC allowing you plot routes, way-points etc. and upload to your unit. The current version of Mapsource is 6.13.6. If you're installing from the CDs or DVD that came with your unit or an older upgrade then it's not compatible with Vista. You need the current version which can be downloaded here. This should then permit you to use your v7 mapping on your Vista machine.

Thanks Bumbkin, that is a big help. Sorry for the slow reply but I couldn't get on line for the last couple of days. More tech problems :blast
Thanks for the fix :thumb2
