They are also "rated" by the website, and to be honest on the passes I have ridden I would say they are on my wavelength most of the time.


Just beware of the length of video's, most are edited so the ride probably took far longer, some "passes" are very short, but more often than not are on roads between two places.

The Splugen runs from Splugen to Chiavenna, it is about 20 miles between the towns and is only REALLY twisty at each end with about 10-15 miles of fairly easy road in the middle, some other passes go up, then down quickly but most people when refering to a pass probably mean the section fo road from location A to location B that the pass is in the middle of.

The speeds on video's often look quicker than in reality, most of the filmed part of this pass was 1st and 2nd, and not exactly lfat out in those gears either, I rode it on a ZZR1400 and could have probably ran the whole pass without needing to change out of first (It was difficult enough to even get the clutch fully out on the hairpins at the Italian side)

Waste of a good bike on a good road. Needs to take up stamp collecting.
