Annoying - had a full day ride planned today, taking my daughter out around the dales.

Washed the bike yesterday and went to fill up this morning. The garage is within a 20/30mph zone, so not sure if it was doing it before the fill up, but as soon as I tried to accelerate on the main road after pulling out theres a lot of spluttering and hesitation at about 3-5k. It then seems to more or less clear at higher revs, but starts doing it badly again when changing up and falling back into that range.

Just letting the bike cool down at the moment before taking a look, but anyone got any ideas where to start? I'm thinking its a bit of a coincidence after washing it yesterday....

Bike is a 2012 with 11k miles Akrvpovic and PC5

Check the connectors on the top of the throttle bodies - when I had a similar problem it turned out one of them had water in it. I had a wunderluch fuel controller fitted at the time which used those connectors and the seals were rubbish.

You didn't jet wash it did you :blast I always hand wash using a plastic jug to rince off, that way it's not forced into areas you don't want it :thumb

I did jet wash it - always have and never had a problem (I don't stand all that close and it's not that powerful).

The TPS reset did the trick though, and we ended up having an awesome day!

I fitted a Power Commander and removed the lambda sensors. I self amalgamating taped up the wiring connectors but it ticks over fast in wet weather. So at a guess water has got into the lamdas or coil wiring.

Edit: Just noticed you sorted it. :D
