hi all, seen a nice 1200 gs today, but it had spoked wheels, what are the pros and cons of these?, or are there any???, or is it purely personal choice???

Micky's 4th point is spot on. Spoked wheels will deflect a good bit fartherunder impact like potholes and such before they go out of true. Under same impact a cast wheel will bend/flatten and stay that way. Spokes are the way to go and the cleaning isn't so bad. Cheers!
I have just bought a GSA with spoked wheels, my first bike without alloys since all bikes had spokes in the 1970's - except the Yam RD 400 of course. And thats a good thing to remember, that all bikes used to have wire wheels.
I worried and had a GS 1200 before with alloys, but I really have not noticed any difference on the GSA. Its fine it works and no problems.

thanx lads!!, some good posts there, i had a feeling there would be no problem with spokes(apart from the cleaning!!), but i just thought id ask to see if anybody had ever come across any problems.
Spoked wheels, no problem, I have them on my 05 GS and there great easy to clean and look the biz. Spray on diluted muc off use a soft brush and they come up a treat. Easy Peasy!
