My RS was serviced recently and a software update was applied which revealed the Sports Screen option on the main menu.
Basically it’s different graphics compared to the standard display, plus lean angle. The only drawback is that it only shows one function from the menu button so you need to choose range or fuel level or trip etc before swapping to the sport screen. Your chosen item is then displayed top right.
Not sure if most RS’s have this already however my RS is the poverty spec base model so I assumed it didn’t have this feature, but when it went for its service recently it was added along with an update to do with the daytime running light. Apparently only some of the led’s are activated but this update unleashes all of them.
These two items should have been added at the factory but weren’t, for whatever reason. No worries, they’re on there now.

Mine arrived with that screen. 2023 model, all functions are present. Never used it.

It's quite revealing. Feel like you've just Marquezed a corner? The display says hmm 30 degrees of lean there son. Been braking hard? only 0.5g. etc.

……. Some of us are still in the black and white days :)

I should say black and orange of course.

I never move from the Mode 2 screen. Just Gear and Speed in big numbers.

With an occasionally flick through ambient temp and range.

I'm with you on that. Screen mode 1 isn't much use without the speed reading easily visible and the more complex screen set up is too cluttered to be of any use bar the rev counter. Best of all is having the Nav V or VI in place as I can then use the Nav for speedo etc and have the rev counter up for screen mode 2. Not quite as good as the TFT on later bikes but more than enough info.

I've just noticed the dredded condensation in the bottom right corner of my R1200RS clocks??

I believe there might be a repair kit available?

(and I wonder.....if the dealer had the unit open.....would it be possible to convert the speedo from a UK layout to a Euro one with just KM/H readings)

Sorry to the OP for the hi-Jack!!

Watch this, easy.

Thanks.....but I have a 2017 R1200RS.....with analog speedo.
My problem is I have a UK bike with MPH and KMH in smaller font.

The euro models just have KMH.....so the font is larger.

It's not the end of the world.....and if it was possible to change (without leaving me bankrupt) I'd get it done.

Sorry missed the R1200RS bit, me idiot. So I assume you are after the internal dial? Something like this? What year is your bike?

Would be worth approaching BMW see if they sell an original dial.
