You need a Buell, preferably a SST XB12. Best and most flickable Buell they ever made, you need a comfortable seat option and a low mileage example, that is what you need

You want a Harley.
You need a Guzzi.

You must be able to find a rubber mount, FI 883 for under 4K?
As for daily commuting, i found the harley dunlop tyres disastrous in the wet. you can get alternatives though.
Suspension is terrible, so depending on your weight and how long you want your back to last, you might want to change the rear shocks.
If your committing, you'll want a half decent size tank so don't get anything modded with the 8ltr peanut tank, as you'll be at the petrol station every 65 miles.
If you're on FaceBook join the Sportster Sickness UK group. loads of helpful people and I've seen a 2008, 883 for just under £4k on there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/sportstersicknessuk
out of curiosity, should it matter whether its fuel injection or carb?

...... carb balancing etc not doable....

Well if this is the case....
...I'd steer clear of the Carb'ed version.....Harley carbs are notoriously hard to balance...............![]()
I was going to go to a dealer for balancing.....l

I was going to go to a dealer for balancing.
I'd be interested to know what they charge you.
