OK, the cheaper one says braided in the heading, while the other says stainless. Also the price. The blurb looks the same though.

My head is pounding and my eyes hurt, so it wouldn't surprise me if I've overlooked something obvious but it hasn't hit me yet. Any brighter/more alert souls out there?

If they're the full monty at £83.80, looks like a good buy - it's £144 for HEL elsewhere on the bay and motorworks goodridge hoses are £134 for back and front lines (sold separately on motorworks). :nenau

I bought in carbon black , had to wait but was easy swap ,even bleeding the brakes , just take your time when stripping the front ones .

These have been around for a while on ebay. The 'stainless' in the description for the more expensive version relates to the end fittings and banjo bolts. All the braided hoses are stainless anyway.

HEL hoses have all stainless fittings as standard and don't have a mild steel option.

I'll be buying pretty soon myself:)

Expensive ones have stainless ends-wont corrode like the the "cheap" ones.

spot on.

when you order goodridge hoses direct you have to specify stainless. Unlike HEL where stainless is standard. When I ordered mine a couple of years back the difference between the two brands was pennies. Goodridge got my money because HEL didn't answer Emails. (or phone calls)

I wanted the top line longer than stock due to bar risers. Goodridge didn't charge extra for this. And they answered THAT question within an hour.

Thanks for the replies. Once ma heid had cleared, I could see it (the difference I mean). My mechanic dude (I'm not great with
spanners, me:( ) reckons the non stainless connectors are pretty good anyway (zinc oxide coated is it ?) when the bike is not doing mega mileages.

£83.80 for a full set sounds reasonable to me, but in the meantime I think I'll make do with one of these:

as a precaution against the potential failing top hose issue on this steptoe thread:

Thanks again chaps :thumb2

tally ho chocks away etc

Cheers m'dear :thumb

Does the ABS thing make much difference? I ask because mine is non-ABS, and the HEL kit is £116.

Non ABS-the line goes straight to the splitter.
ABS-line to ABS pump, then a second from the pump to the splitter.
