After overcoming initial manufacturing difficulties Stahlkoffer is shortly about to offer inner-bags for the Stahlkoffer pannier range.
Pictures will be posted in the next couple of days & costs will be under £60.00for a pair. The bags are professionally made & colour-coded to match the panniers. Initial market research has been very positive regarding these new, stylish, functional accessories.

Stahlkoffer Inner-bags

Bernie is having trouble with his PC so he asked me to post the following details of his new pannier liner bags. I've no links to Stahlkoffer except that I am a satisfied owner of a set of panniers on my F800 GS. I've been waiting for the liner bags to become available since Bernie showed me a set of the prototypes while he fitted my panniers. From the photos this new version looks even better.

Stahlkoffer is now offering inner bags to supplement their pannier accessory range of products. These inner-bags are made-to-measure to fit both the City & the Stahlkoffer Panniers Systems

The padded lining is made from brush-nylon & all bags come with a red expandable shoulder-strap & two heavy duty zips.

The lids have the corporate Stahlkoffer Pannier Systems logo printed on them & are available on the Stahlkoffer website at £59.99.

I hear what you say about the material but, can you confirm that the bags are waterproof.
i.e. The seams are sealed and/or the zips are waterproof/resistant.

Stahlkoffer inner-bags are designed & made to fit the various Stahlkoffer pannier systems we make. Our panniers are water-proof so the fact that the material is as well is just another safeguard. The seams & zips are not specifically water proofed but the seams have a sewn-in internal plastic lining. We have experimented with plastic zips, waterproof for sure but they are not hard wearing & break easily. Hope that answers your questions.

For anyone interested in some inner-bags but wondering about the quality I just received this e-mail from Willem Banning in Holland:
Hello Bernie,
Today the package arrived, and of course the inner bags were in it. I'm very surprised about the quality of these bags. If you compare the quality of your bags
with the original BMW innerbags for their Touring panniers, the match is won by England by 5 to 0!!!!
They fit perfectly in the panniers, my compliments.
I have already booked the costs of the innerbags and shipment through my Bank to your Bank account. And a few penny's more, of which I'll hope you will take a beer or two from me.
