I've just ordered a set of stianless bolts from a company called "Moto-Ap" in Doncaster. For my 1150 GS the kit has 102 correct sized bolts,, for "all the more exposed parts " (unquote !!)
Costs £16 plus £2 p&p.

Has anybody heard of this company -they do Rad grills, headlight covers, bash plates & more -seemed friendly on the phone too -and gave me a quick run down on which bolts they supply in the kit etc. I'll hope to get them in a couple of days, and post back on the quality etc.
And I promised myself not to spend any more dosh on my bike -getting to be a bad habit

You should have got a Steptoe kit, His contain 102 bags of correct stainless bolts!!

I notice that the bolts get less and less as the bike gets newer

124 bolts 1100Gs
102 bolts 1150Gs
84 bolts 1200Gs
Haven't found any double sided sticky tape bits on my bike yet

All adds up to that 30kgs weight loss.........

This company does A4 stainless, alloy and titanium with colours. The downside is they are more expensive but with A4 stainless you are getting marine quality steel.

No -just the following (from moto-app.co.uk)-
front case,
front case plastic cover,
cam chain casing,
cylinder head guards,
cam chain inspection cap,
rear brake master cylinder,
rear shock pre-load screw , (sic !),
rear footrest hangers,air/fuel inlet flanges,
fuel injector flange mounts.

Total; 51 bolts, 48 washers, 3 nylocs.
NOT polished stainless, -A2 quality, but got to be better than the originals ?

Not fitted the above as yet as bloody bike is still off the road with its sheared cylinder bolt-when I get it back, I'll start on it !

Along with all the front end, under seat, instruments, handlebars, gearbox etc etc etc

The £2 post and packing gives the game away. Mine costs £8, thats because it's weighs in at just under 2 kilo

But you don't have the 1200 kit yet - I keep telling you we DEMAND the 1200 kit and NOW
