Just returned from a day out in the Hartside region, and rode the last 32 miles with the yellow petrol warning light showing.

Filling up, the tank took 20.75 litres.

How close was I to being embarrassed and having to phone for help???

 :nenau  :nenau  :nenau

I was routinely getting 300 (BMW) miles to a standard GS tank on a recent foray into strange lands. I would easily hit 50 miles on the yellow light. Never ran out once so not sure how much further it would have gone.

*edit* It's not standard - the fuel filter is on the outside allowing for a few more drops :thumb

Thats why i recently easily got 21.88 litres into a gs tank
but with a dakar i filled it up to within 0.05litres of capacity

must learn to plan ahead more :rob

My PB 249 BMW miles, but I was a tad edgy wonderin' if I'd make it to a refuelling point.
