standard seat please.

I know it's a bloody cheek, but I would like to know if there is anyone out there with a standard seat I can BORROW for probably a couple of hours or whatever time frame you would be happy with. I have an F650GS and the seat originally supplied is a lowered version, and the bike is also a lowered version too. All this lowness is toooo low for me and the aim of this exercise is to see if the Normal seat is any more comfortable than the lowered and presumably less well padded one I currently have. If anyone is brave enough to lend me a normal seat I would be very grateful if you could PM me via here please.

There's an option of a short ride to Spain to look forward to in March, and I'm trying to plan in advance which is most unlike lastminute dotcom me.

Once you have sorted it out with v8legend whether it is comfortable or not let me know! I have upgraded to a comfy seat to my standard seat is spare if you want to buy it!

The standard seat is not overly comfy!

Better to get the comfort seat option which is comfy and jus a bit taller than the standard seat. Or have a look at the other manufacturers comfy seats.

I don't think he's had it long enough to find out how uncomfortable they are yet!

A massive thank you to all who offered me their seats (oooerrrrr) hpwever I've pretty much run out of time now, and am off to Cyprus early doors Monday morning , returning on January 15th, so if the offer is still open when I return I will be taking up the kind offer of a seat loan. Not gonna miss my bike though as I've just been lent a 1200GS for the whole of my 41 day stay. In the middle of sorting some insurance out for it now, but if not I guess I'll just do what everyone else does and try and hire a car for 41 days, although I am surprised to hear that the major car hire players dont like hires lasting more than a month for some really odd reason..........


Any way im gonna shut up now as im rambling again, but like I said a massive thanks to all those involved and ill try and get ya all some duty frees!!!!!!

if you're passing Argyll you can borrow my seat - i agree with those re the uncomfiness though - hence the upgrade to a v comfy sargent
