Start-up virus / Mouse problem

I've got a repeat of a problem I had a few months ago only this time I cannot quite solve it. I know I've got a start up (boot) virus, I can start up from disk, get the start menu, cycle to 'SPYBOT' and then run Spybot all using the 'up / down' arrow keys as the virus has frozen the mouse.

Spybot discovers the virus, but, because the mouse is disabled I cannot select 'fix the problem' - very frustrating - any ideas?

Can't you use the TAB key on your keyboard to scroll through the options?

Or run 'msconfig' then stop the virus from running on startup, You don't need the mouse, you can do it using just the keyboard, Windows, direction, Tab and enter keys

I've just tried the program - I think ALT+F will achieve what you want

Thanks chaps, I'm trying all of the suggestions but the pc is like glue and only 5% of the keys actually work. Will come back
