If it's the teeth completely worn out, or coil burned out or magnets loose from their glue there's not much to rebuild.
Mostly it's just dirty from clutch wear and other dust. Just take it apart - clean and lube the pendix mechanism with grease and put back together - works like new again
When I ride gravel roads like I mostly do - I must do it almost every moth or two to keep it workin' as it's supposed to
