My 2006 GSA 1200 is displaying EWS on computor screen and bike wont start.Anybody else had this problem.Bike has travelled 14000Km and have had no trouble up to now.Very embarrasing for a BMW owner to be seen with a electrical problem
Its something to do with the ignition key activated immobiliser antenna.
Do a search on "EWS" both here and ADVrider.
Common failure and a visit to the dealer under warranty.

Called BMW road assist.They sent a recovery trailer and transported my bike to Adelaide Motors where the ring antenna was replaced.Good service and no charge.
