I'm having issues starting my r100rt. I can't find where to put the key and I'm not sure which button starts the engine. Should I call my bmw dealer and ask them for a detailed explanation of has anyone on here done a google search. :D

Has anyone got tarkas number as I'm told he may be able to help.

Where did you stick the key and which button did you press the last time you started her? The same applies today:beerjug:

Tricky one mate, but if I remember rightly there's a key hole looking thingo next to the seat -give that a shot. As for the starter button, dunno. You could ask over on the 1200 site.

I dunno the 1200 riders seem to get their dealers to do everything for them. I recon I'll draw a blank there.

You don, t need buttons. Take it to the top of the hill, sit on it and roll backwards, then when you release the brakes, the wound up elastic band will fire you forwards. :D.

I shouldn't teach you to suck eggs but is your airhead a water cooled one ? I believe they are different to start but if all else fails, :rtfm

It's only watercooled if I don't make it to the tea n pee stop in time:D

Must be a genuine airhead as the 1200 boys do "cappuccino and comfort break's" and only with appropriate parking so they can see their steed while pissing....;)
