Nearly fell off my seat when my local Stealer quoted NZ$157 for a pair of non heated hand grips for my 2000 1150GS.
Quickly onto the interweb and have a pair flying out from Motorworks for NZ$37.
I wonder why I don't buy my parts locally. Sad thing is I like to support local business but when it costs over 4 times more what the hell am I to do.

Found the same thing when I wanted a MBA Vario screen. Cheaper to import it from the homeland.

I guess the price he quoted you was for the pukka BWM OEM grips;which is the sameish steep price around the world.
The real problem for you guys is the lack of pattern parts suppliers in NZ.
I've bought the Motorworks grips;they are pattern parts but are virtually identical to the BWM ones you'll be glad to hear.
