I realise that many things conspire to make make my f800gs feel less stable than my r1200gs - higher CoG, 21 inch front wheel, lower weight and soft front end to name a few. The bike is as new and has only covered 1000 miles and is not suffering from loose head bearings or any other ailment. I am considering fitting a steering damper in addition to Hyperpro springs in the forks (not the reduced height versions because I'm not a short arse). Has anyone any experience of fitting a steering damper to an 800gs
