Steering Head Bearings..

Hi guys,

I bought second hand 05 plate 650gs late last year and the steering head bearings need replacing. I would consider this under warranty but main BM dealer draggin their heals... any opinions wheather this mnight come under standard BM used bike warranty?

As BMW do not include Grease when they fit the SHBs, they are probably classed as expendable.

If they do fix them under warranty, without grease again, the same thing will happen. Better to do it yourself, or get an independent mechanic to do it properly, & fit a grease nipple to the Steering Head, for easy application of more grease.
