the Frejus tunnel will cost you €25 to go thru BTW. Come over the mountain using the col d'echelle instead, takes a bit longer but very nice.

Beware of the speed bump/ mini old fjord when dropping down onto the italian side - you can bottom forks out if going at speed.

+1 for the col de l'Echelle.

The valley going up to it on the French side is really something. I use it as a stopover for weekend trips to the Assietta road etc. Bardonnecchia is surrounded by loads of great tracks. If you can cope with the German take a look at this

Why not put your energies into exploring other less well known tracks in either the Alps or the Pyranees?

Probably because he hasn't done it

It's on a lot of people's must do lists. Demonstrating how often you've been isn't terribly helpful. Giving him some suggestions on what else to do as well is
