I understand from a conversation recently had with Sgt Bilco that Steptoe may be visiting us in the West Midlands again very soon.

If this is indeed the case can I be first to book my 1100 in for final drive bearing change along with diagnosis and remedy of surging problem at 3k rpm please?

Yes, i will be doing the usual working visit. Just waiting to get the dates arranged with Chris.

I don't do jobs like the rear wheel bearing on a day visit, only jobs where we can quantify the time involved and where there's no possibility of the job needing parts that aren't at hand or special tools. - If it goes tits up i'm still going home at the end of the day, the workshop will close ready for the HGV's so the man who kindly lets us use his premises can earn his living, and you'll have a bike at the side of the road in bits .
