Hiya folks, I was wondering which other passes you can get the stickers like you can from Gerlos, Timmelsjoch, Stelvio and Grossglockner? those are the ones I have and on my travels this year would like to pick up a few more, the fridge door is looking empty :thumb

Anywhere with a souvenir (tat shop) sometimes disguised as cafes. They all do them. Can depend on time of year you are pass bagging,,have known some to be closed in June. My GSA panniers remind me of a caravan clubbers front window. Enjoy your trip sir.

Yeah

As Andrew says, most of the touristy Cols have little shops at the top selling tat. Sticker-tastic in the main, that was one of the reasons I was keen to keep the 1200 panniers and fit them on me 1150 :D

Thanks lads :D I`ll keep an eye open for those little cafes and I see what you mean about keeping your panniers  :thumb

You will get a free one from both the Nockalmstrasse (one of the best biking roads anywhere) and the Maltahochalmstrasse. And if you stay at my place you wont pay the tolls either!

John

I`m sorry but both those places don`t look like they`re worth the tyre wear to get there ;) :blast

Can you send a link to your place? I`m camping usually but a nice gaff to stay in and a discount on the roads would sway me :D :thumb

I expect others might have something to say about that! And I'm not sure what you have looked at to come to that conclusion.

John

With the same link to my place that is on all my posts

I`m only jesting John!! those roads look fantastic and well worth the effort of getting there, I was planning to spend more time riding in Austria this year and it looks like these are 2 more to add to my plans :D

I didn`t have the sigs box ticked in my options so couldn`t see your link :blast I can now :thumb2

Your place looks great, would I have to book or can I just tip up?

Depends when you are thinking of, we have a few dates fully booked already so probably best to book if you can. Two nights or more and you get a free tourist card making almost all the toll roads free no matter how many times you ride them ( I don't think anyone can ride the Nockalmstrasse just once) Three nights or more and you can include the Grossglockner for just 10 Euros (normal price 23 Euros). Plus every biker gets a free beer on arrival.

Hope to see you out here-I've got around 50 day routes now so plenty to go at.

I don't fancy the ride, can you just send me the two stickers in the post. Ta.

Most of mine were still on the top box of my GS when I sold it, I meant to take them off and forgot, the bloke who bought it seemed happy enough for it to go on its way with the stickers still attached.

We only managed to get stickers for about 1 in 5 passes on our trips, but did not always stop at the top, but made a point on some of the most famous passes only to find they had none.

At the Stelvio you can get stickers, T-Shirts, Jumpers, Watches, Wall Clocks and Stelvio 1/1000 scale Patio's (I probably made the last one up, but I did not go into every shop)
