Turning 55,000 miles this cold afternoon and am still thrilled on each and every ride.
At around 30,000 miles oil consumption has settled and it stays unchanged.
Sight glass level remains....

......oil changed every 5000 miles.

No "pooping, fartin',back firing" on decelerations (stock can) installed.....
Rocker's sound quiet like a sewing machine....hands free steering in a straight line...

My favorite an Best'est BMW yet, out of the last 8 I've owned.....

Well done , you are a lucky man :)
Is nice to read a nice little trade without hearing some one complaining :blagblah
What oil are you using ?

bmwrich58 - obviously your sight glass is half full rather than half empty :thumb2

Stu.

Thanks...!
I'm a Big Believer in maintenance. And because I find pleasure and satisfaction in doing my own,I feel that is one of the reasons why my bike operates so well.

Not to start an "Oil Thread" (I was asked what I use),but because BMW's Dealer network has thinned so much over the years,I made the choice to use a "popular oil" that "I can purchase" just about anywhere and or anytime. And with more than enough information and reports about it's usage,I decided to go with that. My choice is Mobil 1 15w50.

But it's more than just maintenance. I ride the bike spirited but don't "beat" on it. I know it's not a "True Off Roader" and don't subject the bike to these unfit conditions. I have a "True Dirtbike" manufactured for these conditions.
I had the opportunity to order this bike New, and without all those fingles and farkles that 90% of owners costantly find fault with and or complain about.
Really the only option I wanted was heated grips,"Love my Heated Grips"..!

I've had a few "minor" warranty issues (battery,FPC,antenna ring),all taken care of,but all in all this '07 GSA model has been a pleasure to own.

Good that you are still enjoying it :thumb

Now if you had posted about a major problem this thread would be several pages long already - just goes to show that there is little interest in good news stories ;)

Thats what I like to hear, good news, mainly as I'm after the same bike. Its too common to read gripe threads, but all makes have them.

63 farsand and change here on me 2004, owned from new. Servo pump failed under warranty, on me 3rd FPC, but still my one and only bike.
