The F**kers broke in at 3am this morning and took my 04 GSA. I found this out just three hours ago and I can't tell you the hatred I feel right now for them.

Doubt I'll ever see it again but if you do, drop me a line.

Thieving bastards make my blood boil! Feel for you fella and hope you recover the bike un-damaged.

I feel your pain, having had the same experience last month. It will ease. Start turning your garage into Fort Knox. I put additional locks on mine and have all the drills etc. PM me if you want a hand.

I was thinking that kind of things was only happening in Brazil on the big cities like São Paulo.

Seems to happening quite a lot in Edinburgh at the moment.

Check out E.M.R Edinburghs stolen motorcycle database on Facebook.

Hopefully it'll turn up soon, with minimal damage.

Thanks Pal. I'm not even thinking about replacing it yet until I can work out how better to secure it. I'm also coming round to the way of thinking that GS's are magnets for thieves - we load them with shiny baubles - they scream out "Knick me". Would they have taken a second look if it had been a 1200RT sitting there?

UPDATE:

Got a notice from the safety camera dept saying it was photographed running the lights at the junction of Gorgie Rd and Chesser Ave at 11.20 on Friday night. So it's not in bits yet - keep an eye out if you are in that area.

FURTHER UPDATE:

Recovered from Craigmillar, shoved off some embankment - hot-wired, missing its seat, panniers, top box - according to Police. Most likely a write off. 7 days from theft to trashing.

You would hope it will be a write off, No point in getting the bike back now,it'l be fukd.

They'll nick anything with wheels. Pop round and see my handiwork if you want. I stay in Morningside.

Despite all that "FIXABLE"

Get it to YOUR property A.S.A.P. and Don't let it be taken by the insurance salvage fcukers without you agreeing a buy back price OR a settlement price !!!!

Seriously there are some vultures out there that will be in like a shot

I am thinking of a couple of those alarm mine things that fire blanks

Big Bang Officer? Yes! Terrible it was I thought one of them shot the other !!!!!! Are the covered in GSR
