I sold a Guy from Dublin a very particular set of Panniers last week .
On his way home , he got a puncture , he pulled into Advance pitstop in
in Finglas in his Silver Toyota Landcruiser.
In the Back of the Jeep he had a Set of Caja Sahel Panniers .
The reason i am asking here is that this set are a one off set of
Panniers. Even without any Decals or lettering they are still unmistakeable.
I have a few pictures of them here for you to look at .
When stolen they were Gray with all angled sides , they were the Locking
locks type pannier .
The Usual all welded construction.
I would recognise them a mile off .
If you can help at all , i would really love to get this guy back his panniers.
I know the jeep will be his primary concern ,but i am sure he will have it covered .. ..

The Pictures .

i'll spread the word, if anything turns up i'll give you a shout.

as a matter of intrest, did the land cruiser get nicked with or without the keys ?.
a few months ago when doing a night course in bolton st, my classmate was leaving to go home in his 2008 cruiser. the jeep was missing and he thought we had moved it as a prank during the tea break:eek:. eventually security had recorded the event on cctv. two skangers walked up to the drivers window, looked up at the camera, smashed the window, pulled the bonnet, closed it, then got in and drove off........less than 90seconds !
gardai arrived, looked at footage and said i'll have it back in 48hours. following morning it was recovered and sent to toyota dealer.
response was, spare key used or cloned as its impossible to steal due to the immobiliser. he challenged them with the footage, the response then was "heres five hundred euro for the hassle and we will check it out with toyota" and get back to you.
cruiser owners be warned !

Heard about this from the Owners brother on the Irish Subaru drivers club. www.isdc.ie

Surely advance bit stop should be replacing everything. They where reponsable for the landcrusier after all.

I'll keep an eye out. The might show up on gumtree or something.

Keep your eyes open Lads , These are Very distinctive , and too
valuable not to try to sell ,,,

If they don't have any decals on them how would the thief know what they were? and..... even if they did you don't advertise prices so how would they know their value? Anyone not into bikes might not even recognise them as panniers, I would think there is a high chance they have been dumped or scrapped.

Even if you hadnt the slightest idea of what they were or what they were
for , you would know , they were a Quality item , worth investigating
them for their use and value. I am saying this as an ""In general ""
not as "the Man that made them "" . They are a quality item. And have a
real value. On top of all , these are a one off , no ther sets looks like these.
