Stop & Go Tire Plugger

"My Dad rides a T max. He was quite impressed with it's turn of speed. He ain't impressed at all with the MPG though  says it's really bad". ;)

It depends a lot how you ride it....the Fuel injected Mk2 is a bit better than the Mk1.
"Uncomfortable too".
Don't agree, but the ComforTmax is more comfortable.

Me Dad bought the Tmax because he's always been fascinated by the feet forward type of bike. He'd have bought a Quasar if he hadn't had to spend all his hard earned on us kids.

Tell him he's welcome to come and have a look at my Quasar any time he likes! In the meantime he should check out www.Quasarworld.com and www.bikeweb.com and my latest article, featuring the ComforTmax here:
www.motorcylemonthly.co.uk

"He thinks it's time to get shot of the scooter (he hasn't used it for six months) now and maybe and get a 650gs (they will give you over 50 mpg at 100mph all day fully loaded you know)."

On the contrary, I know for a fact that they WON'T.
They'll give you 50mpg at 80mph, not 100.
Having recently swapped from my Tmax to a 650GS and back again for my regular ride from SW London to Godalming, I think he'd be far more sensible sticking with the Tmax and converting it to ComforTmax mode (with Volvo car seat).
Unless he wants to ride off road, of course!

...simple and easy bit of kit and works well. Got 10K out of a plugged tyre.

Get a an old tyre to practice on if your having problems
