C 'mon guys, this thread started with a bit of piss taking about mutley and syco.Seems to have degenerated into a rant about hardley owners and their riding in particular.. Now I would not own a hog, ( I think there are much better bikes out there) but I do accept that many do like the bike, the sound and the image and I feel we should respect that so lets not get too abusive, Ive heard other riders claim BM owners are rude and aloof too and has been pointed out before, there are just as many polished accessories, lifestyle bits and pieces for Charlie lookalikes.
Motorcyclists usually all get on well no matter what they ride, so lets keep it that way.:handbag:handbag:handbag:handbag:handbag:handbag:handbag

Well said :thumb there are a lot here that claim unless you can ride a Gs in sand you are a :ymca and they only do their stuff at weekend on someones farm track without permission ..and when we had foot & mouth :augie
Lets all ride :bounce1

I should have known

Our very own ROAD CAPTAIN Muttley, is very quiet at the moment......:augie

His Muttliness is currently preparing himself for his annual progress through the realm of Oonyackistan. The inhabitants have been informed they will be graced by his presence late tomorrow afternoon.

Quite right, had to drive to a meeting in Gretna the come all the way back to get the bike :blast

Weather was scary on the M6 so it's definitely NOT HOG weather  :ymca

The thought of me as a 'Road Captain' would scare a few on here after the complaints about my riding at Baskerville Hall :augie :green gri

OMG!! Am I going to have to do some modding:eek::eek:

The thread started as a big piss take and isn`t aimed at Muttley which he well knows:augie

He was telling us about the "HOG way" of doing things and I have to say it was feckin hilarious!! Not my cup of tea at all but hey, each to their own I say.

I have no problem with any biker whatsoever and have been known to nod evn to scooter boys but the HOG guys seem to deserve some glorious piss taking. Jeez, they are so serious about the whole thing but I`m guessing one or two are on here as well :hide Our Road Captain even reported that he gets ignored by GS riders when he`s out on his :ymca:ymca! Perhaps he shouldn`t have polished his cahps quite so vigourously:augie

Still, we`ll have to sort a Muttley led ride out to see how many get home in one piece:eek:

well said old man

If its got wheels i'll ride it. I love my hog, I love the BM and i love enduro bikes, and sports bikes i love the lot. but then again i'm a motorcyclist, i don't subscribe to one type of bike because of image or its the latest fad, i have a bike cos "I" like it and its the one "I" want. Now my choice may not be everyones cup of tea but hey it my garage and i can fill it with what i want. I do agree the whole riding as a pack thing is a load of bollocks but then that for the people who bought their harleys cos they wanted the whole badass HA look, well what ever float yer boat, I don't like riding in a group, i'm happy with two or three but thats it. I think there are to many on this and other sites who take the view if you don't ride what I ride then yer must be :ymca well my reply is "Come over here and bend the f*ck over" :thedummy
I'm going now as this may turn into a rant, now wheres my polish:mmmm

Is the polish for your bike or your chaps :D

Three of us (I was pillion at the time..:(..)...once did the 'HOG The Bridge' Ride Out......:clap
I can honestly say I've not laughed as much in a long time......:D
About 4000 Hoggies and 2 GS's crossing the bridge.....
Brilliant fun....they were all great....especially when it came to trying to brake and we were the only ones to have a respectable stopping distance.....

Accept what you say about not taking the piss, but it's the whole accountant during the week, outlaw at the weekend thing which is so funny, with all the back patches and the hierarchy, and the strict 55mph speed limit they maintain.

OK - there's all that, but then they couple it with their mean wrap around shades and their refusal to acknowledge other bikes, like they're a bunch of hard mean muthas on their way to a rumble with another back patch club.

If they didn't take it all so seriously and acknowledged other bikers, they wouldn't be such a target for piss taking IMHO.

And I don't ride my GS in the sand - the most off-roading it does is across a camping field. so make of that what you will :clap

ARRRR

Is the polish for your bike or your chaps :D
The polish is for the paint and the baby oil for the leather (and the wife, but thats the way she likes it:green gri)
As for the whole 55mph, don't think i go that slow, its not in my makeup.:augie And rap-around shade are good as they keep the wind out of yer eyes. Open lids are the thing, if you try a full jobbie it fells wrong, bit like wearing a jonny when bonking, its not bad but just not as good as doing it naked:eek::thumb

This Polish thing... They come over here and take our jobs, send their beautiful girls and now want our Hogs................:rob

No problem, the ride out is sorted. We leave at 07.30 hrs next year and we are riding to Skye :thumb2

This year's ride was epic on the way up but slowed down a little by Tractorpilot's girlie tank range (these vanilla 1200's really are :ymca ).

On the way back I made the whole trip in just two fuel stops and 9 hrs 30 minutes, 533 miles. That makes it just over 56 mph in the pouring rain including some pretty narrow roads, central Glasgow and the M6 in Sunday evening rush hour, fully loaded with camping gear.

Woody didn't make it this year :augie

Anyone up for it ;)

Hardcore ride out with the HOG today

Out for 8 hours in all. We needed at least four Road Captains (I lost count) of which two were sweeping. One of the Road Captains was also a 'Safety Officer' (I kid you not). They had dayglo vests on so you felt safe. :o

There were only 12 bikes in total

We went to the Ponderosa :blast

:D

don't worry muts
