Short notice but GS Eddie and I are having a short ride out tomorrow evening, with a couple of other guys. Starting at Axford, south of Basingstoke, down to Portsmouth and back to Axford.
Plan is meet here at Axford(PM me for full address) and head off down on a circular route past Alton, to Liss, around the east of Petersfield, down to South Harting, Emsworth and over to the 'Monster Burger Bar' on Portsdown Hill, overlooking Portsmouth. After a stop and a burger(optional), a ride back via Loomies Cafe(not stopping) and Alresford to Axford.
I plan to leave Axford at 18:30.
The pace will be brisk but legal, and will respect speed limits in the villages. The route is not challenging, all on road, about 75 miles all in. I've put together a Garmin route and can send a copy out for those with GPSs. I'll lead this one and GSEddie, he with the yellow headlight, will bring up the rear so we all keep together. Eddie will have the Garmin route and he and I will have Bike to Bike radio. Eddie and I will be on 1200GSs with TKCs, and not sure what the other guys will be on but they will keep up.
