Hi,
Could anyone tell me if there is anything i need to know before i fit what's described as a simple two minute job and BLOW UP MY BIKE..
I have a 52 plate 1150gs Adv with ABS.

Can i just replace the rear bulb with the new LED replacement.. Reason i ask is that i'm sure somewhere ive heard that i have to put a resistor or something in line, so i do not get an ABS fault light?????

HELP Please..JOHNO:rob

Just stick it in and find out. The ABS light will flash I think if it's a low-current type but if it's one of the super LED types it'll draw enough current to overcome the "safety" circuit. No chance of blowing anything up so stick it in. :thumb

+1
I've tried two different types of led rear bulbs, neither caused any abs problems :thumb2

I expect it's the 1200's that get all panicky and stop working if you change a bulb all by yourself without using a diagnostic computer :augie:D

I have a 02 aventure and replaced the buld with an LED one
no problems at all
just make sure you get white one and not a red one as you will still need white light for your rear number plate illumination otherwise you will either fail the next MOT or mr plod may want to talk to you

Thanks ALL

Just to say thanks chaps... I will see when it arrives. as for Mot..plod.. i know this man right:augie

I got one from Nippynormans, the kit has a clear lens and a mixture of white and red LEDs. It must have a built in resistor and works fine.

I was thinking of fitting this mod, any real improvement over the stock luminosity....:nenau
