strange volume variation with an autocom active 7 kit-any ideas?

Im running an Active 7 with input from an ipod with a boostaroo in line amplifier; volume and vox are set to half-way. The volume has started to vary cyclically, from stereo full volume at peak down to mono half volume on a 5 second repeat. Ive been trying to fix this small but annoying problem for a while but without success. Has anybody else experienced this? Any ideas would be very welcome! Would varying the settings on the autocom help and if so what to?

I would say you need to stiffen the VOX up a bit more, half way is to be honest a bit too soft so the music is being muted 50% due to the mics being open.

Also the boostaroo shouldnt be needed either in my opinion, low volume for music normally means poor speaker positioning we find.

thanks for that-it worked! im using a system 4, so that's why its a bit quiet. The boostaroo improves the sound quality and has increased the volume a fair bit too.
