Had a look on the 'job' vacancy' page on work's internet system, and there are two jobs that I could do in Strasbourg, France.
Now being a very keen motorcyclist, I would need plenty of lanes to ride, without causing a nuisance or breaking the law.
Has anybody got experiences of this area that you could share with me?
Regards.
Timpo.

Your quite close to the Vosges Mountains and the foothills of the Alps. I did the Vosges a few years back and it seems to be a bit of a mecca for bikers.

Great biking around the Strasbourg area. However it is supposed to be a fairly boring place to live.
Some of the surrounding villages are very pretty though, depends what swings your boat. But as far as roads are concerned the Vosges are the business

Yes, great winding roads, great scenery, hills, forests, etc. Strasbourg is pretty, but tame. Great food!!!

and you can cross the Rhine into Germany for the delightful Black Forest

Hills, mountains roads are great Strasbourg is a stunnnig town but its proped up by the EU business there which means the place is expensive. If you like £200 per head dinners, this is the place to see where you EU subsidies end up !!!

You are joking ?

Average restaurant is cheaper and better than in Paris.

The Vosges and Black Forest are both great for biking (both motorised and pedal!) and I had a really great day out earlier this year which included the Route des Cretes near the Grand Balon d'Alsace in the Vosges. I'm not so sure about the local grub though - saurkraut and flammhueche don't really do it for me :barf but the pinot gris is fine

Just come back from there, take a look at the map loads of roads and forest trails its great. Food is excellant . Black Forest across the rhine you'll get an Eiffel up the road in Lux. And plenty of other outdoor pursuits
