Visiting the wife's rellies in Renfrew the day. On the way back, caught a glimpse of blue flashes coming from a parked bike ahead. Funny, no big white Pan etc? Drawing level, saw that a car had been stopped and the driver engaged in a very earnest conversation with a cop in plain black leathers and white helmet (marked Police). The blue flashes seem to be coming from the bar ends of the bike, like the old BMW / MZ flashers in the 60s. However, the bike was a wine red R1! Didn't have time to stop for a snap unfortunately.

Yes... take care

Saw a similar thing in North Wales in the summer. Green Triumph with flashing blues chasing a speeder. A few forces opperate unmarked bikes as they do unmarked cars.

Lothian & Borders have used these........................

(sneaky )

Good to see that they are looking after the pennies, mind - going for an import :augie

It was on the police 'Bike Safe' stand at the Scottish Bike Show this year..... I don't think they make any secret of it.

Strathclyde's Chief Constable rides a Super Blackbird !

(Rumour has it he wanted an official bike rather than a posh car - but the request was turned down :D ).
