Streetguard 2 suit

I'm thinking of getting a streetguard suit having read the article in a recent edition of Ride magazine but I'm confused about the price! The magazine has them priced at £690 for the complete suit but all the BMW dealers' web sites that Ive seen have it at £850. Does anyone know anywhere that's selling them at a better price than £850?

I bought a Streetguard 2 jacket for £307 from Williams BMW Motorrad @ Manchester - mail order, last month

That's a saving of nearly £200 on the £495 RRP

Me too. Williams were selling stuff on ebay and I got a Streetguard 2 jacket for £295.

Now if only I could find a set of pants at a similar discount!

I've had the suit for 30,000 miles now - can't recommend it enough. If you can get one for the prices these guys are talking about, it would be a steal!

North Oxford were doing a deal on the suit a short while ago as well, might be worth giving them a try.

Streetguard suit is excellent. If you are a standard size then you have a good chance of picking up a bargain however if the dealer needs to order it in you may haggle 10%.

Keep an eye on e-bay (Europe) as some of the German dealers sell here and prices can be better than the UK. Most BMW German dealers will post goods to the UK for about the same P&P as a UK dealer would charge to post goods to you.

If you are not in a hurry, end of season clothing sales are only a few months away and 30% discounts can be found.

Try also phoning a few dealers - Motorrad Central in Dalkeith has a few jackets & trousers with 50% off but do not advertise the fact. They did have a Tourguard jacket which is like the Streetguard 1 only longer length, and I did see some Streetguard 1 for sale which an equally good suit as the new Streetguard 2.

I bought a Streetguard 2 suit quite recently to use on my GSA. It's in black, only worn twice as I've now changed bikes to a K1200S and I find it a little too bulky for the riding position.

Sizes of both the jacket and pants are 54 Euro, 44 UK. The jacket comes complete with the holdall etc. You can have them both for 500 pounds if they just happen to fit!! Bit of a bargain for someone perhaps?
