Streetpilot 2610 Review

I think I made the right move buying the SPIII after reading that. Maybe in a few years it might evolve and get cheaper.
BMW are bringing out their own version of the 2610,perhaps 2005, with handlebar mounted buttons..that might be more biker friendly.

A good review, not un-expected that the touch screen and remote dont work well with gloved fingers. Bit suprised at the lack of remote power.

It really does make the unit non portable without such a power lead. I move my SPIII from vehicle to vehicle using either batteries or cigarette lighter socket (tho some cars are becoming politically correct and don't have one).

The recalculate speed is the only thing that would make my change and I do not see that there there is a significant in on this next generation.

Definately not worth a change and dubious for a new purchase. Even if BMW do bring out their packaged version it still does not provide portabilty.

It does not mention how well it bounces when thrown down the road though. :D

Spunkin $800 he paid for his...whats that, about £550 and we have to pay nearly double!!

I dont mind having my leg lifted a bit but pissing up my back at the same time is not quite right,
