Streetpilot 2820 Error

Hi,

I ve was updating voice on my unit and I lost power, I reformat the usb mass storage but now I cannot get the voice back on the unit. Every time I try with files or with web ubdater, it give me this error. Everything seemed to be working fine

"the garmin device is unable to program the requested memory region"

How do I get the directories back to normal on my device. I got the MP3 working again. Reinstalled the unit firmware but cannot get the voices to install. How can I reformat the USB Mass Storage

I need to know what directories you have in the usb mode..........So i can try to re-create the usb storage with folders

It was fixed thanks, but I really screwed my 2820 in the process by accidentally losing the unlock file -and I was ever so careful in copying the Voice file for Alain. Got a new unlock file from Garmin, but to no effect as the unit would definitely not recognise the installed maps.
Garmin solution - send unit in for repair = £160,
My solution - resend maps from Mapsource to unit = £0.
